We are beginning a new series to explore our the different services we offer. For our first Discover WARE series, we sat down with Bill Fogarty, Valve Shop Division Manager, to talk a little about the Valve Shop. Bill Fogarty oversees the Valve Shop sales and operations. With more than 35 years of experience, Bill knows the ins and outs of the business and has seen hundreds of projects from start to finish.
Sales is the primary purpose of the Valve Shop. The team sells new valves, parts and manages operations on a daily basis. The main focus of our valve shop is to sell valves and the accompanying parts, but also process orders from new and current clients.
There are a number of orders that come through the Valve Shop on a daily basis. Aside from the typical sales and orders, our Mobile Repair service and Steam Studies set us apart from our competitors.
With our larger plants and customers, we take the time to personally visit the site. These sites typically have a large number of customers and cannot afford downtime, such as a hospital. Here, we conduct the entire repair service from start to finish.
In some cases, our customers require cleaning for oxygen services. These valves have to be cleaned in such a particular manner to meet specific requirements, such as sterilization. WARE is the only company that is mobile and with a trailer specifically for the purpose of cleaning the valves.
WARE has traveled as far as Texas and will service areas in Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
Another unique aspect of our valve shop and WARE are our Steam Studies. This is the analysis of a customer's steam system. We conduct these during our site visits, from the performance of the boiler to the condensate return systems. Generally speaking, this is a report card of the overall health of your boiler system and an exploration of the entire steam system.
This is, of course, vital to maintaining optimal boiler health for your system and reduces unexpected downtime for emergencies. This is especially beneficial for hospitals and other plants that cannot afford to be offline for extended periods of time.
