On this episode of the Boiling Point, Ritchie talks with our Valve Shop expert Bill Fogarty about how a Safety Valve functions on a boiler.

These valves are the last line of defense for a steam system so making sure they are in working order is critical.

As the steam boiler rises in pressure, the last thing to stop it from over-pressure is the safety valve. These lift and vent steam to keep the system from becoming dangerous.

Watch as Bill explains how they work and how to keep your boiler in working order.
