On this Steam Culture, Brent talks about the use of steam to help get rid of ice dams that form on top of your roof.
Ice dams are build-ups of ice and water on the edges of your roof caused by snow being melted by heat loss from the top of your roof. Ice dams are prevalent in regions that experience sustained cold and snow. Left uncheck, they can severely damage your home, so getting rid of them is very important!
Luckily, low pressure steam can be used to create channels for runoff water as well as be used to melt the ice dams. This process will stop water from pooling up on your roof, preventing water damage to your roof, ceiling, walls, and insulation.
