In 2012, much of New England and the East coast prepared for the deadliest storm of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. As Hurricane Sandy obliterated New York City, power was lost along with most daily resources, including heat.
WARE's Steven Taylor recounts the significant contribution to the post-hurricane disaster relief: orchestrating the delivery and setup of 25 Emergency Mobile Boiler Systems for the New York City Housing Authority.
Steven describes the unique challenges of the logistics behind getting the equipment on site and installed, but also manning the equipment and keeping it powered in a disaster scenario. WARE immediately stepped in with efficiency and the willingness to get the job done.
"WARE can meet any challenge. We don't say no. We come up with solutions. It's what we do," said Steven. Watch the video below for more details on WARE's involvement with the Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.
