Run/Test switch on Honeywell burner control offers valuable hidden features

Posted by Ritchie Ware on Apr 17, 2015 11:41:11 AM

Ware Boiling Point HoneywellOn today's Boiling Point, we're going live to WARE's Boiler University to talk with Jude Wolf about the Honeywell 7800 Series Run/Test mode operation.

Many operations use the Honeywell EC/RM7800 series burner control to regulate their boilers. What they may not realize is the unit comes equipped with a switch in the back allowing them to operate in either run or test modes. In this video, Jude goes over how you can use test mode to cool the boiler safely, regulate the pilot or make adjustments to gas pressure.

"The Run/Test Switch is something that a lot of people don't realize is there but has a lot of useful purposes," Wolf said.

Check out the video below, and as always, thanks for tuning in to another edition of The Boiling Point!
