Smoke Stacks - Steam Culture

Posted by Ritchie Ware on Jun 21, 2016 3:05:06 PM

Today on Steam Culture, Brent talks about smoke stacks. Did you know that the idea of a smoke stack derived from the Ancient Romans? From then until now, smoke stacks are still used and have actually changed the landscape of many cities.

In relation to what we do at WARE, steam boilers use stacks as a way to remove exhaust as well as create necessary pressure for combustion.

Watch the video below to learn more about smoke stacks and even see several smoke stacks that are in use today, including the Batterseas smoke stacks, the smoke stacks at the Great American Ball Park, the Asarco smoke stacks in El Paso, the Inco super stack, and the tallest smoke stack in the world, the GRES-2 Power Station.
