Today, Brent lets us tag along on his family vacation in Estes Park Colorado. We are actually shooting this video in front of the Stanley Hotel where they filmed The Shining.
Steam plays a large role in cinemas. In The Shining, there were a lot of boiler scenes throughout the movie. Although in the film, Jack Torrance, the main character, dies outside frozen in a maze- according to the book, there was actually a boiler explosion and he had to run downstairs to relieve the pressure and it exploded. There were also a number of other films created here.
Also, this very hotel was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley, the guy who invented the Stanley Steamer. There is a lot of steam-related items at the Stanley Hotel.Check out the video below to learn more.
