On this episode of Steam Culture, Brent takes viewers on another adventure of interesting stories and facts about steam—where steam and culture intersect.
Today, Brent will be talking about Hero's steam creation, the Aeolipile. Hero, the inventor, was a famous engineer and mathematician in ancient Rome. The Aeolipile is considered to be the first use of steam pressure to create mechanical movement and was even used as a source of entertainment for the emperor of Rome in the first century.
