Today on Steam Culture, Brent talks with Bill about the Stirling engine.
Watch and learn about how this engine became an alternative to the previous model. The Stirling engine was invented in the early 1800s and features a closed system and increased safety for users. While this wasn't going to ever replace the steam engine, it was just a new way to create mechanical energy from heat.
Bill even shares with us a miniature model of the gamma style engine. The gamma style engine uses heat displacement, hot and cold element work together powering the engine.
