On today's edition of The Boiling Point, we're picking up where we left off last week talking about relief valve functioning, assembly, and testing. If you missed part 1, you can check it out here. Rick Walker in the Valve Shop continues his talk on safety relief valves and in this video, actually tests a valve live as we're filming.
Even if you're currently using a rental boiler, the relief valve is the last line of defense in keeping your Steam System safe. Keeping these valves maintained and properly tested is the best way to ensure the integrity of the valve.
Keep in mind that safety valve repairs should only be performed by a company holding a current Certificate of Authorization (VR) from the National Board of Pressure Vessel Inspectors. WARE's Valve Shop has the ability to recondition valves as well as come in and inspect your existing Steam System. If you need service or inspection for your boiler relief valve, please contact WARE's Service Department to schedule an appointment today.
