The majority of boiler catastrophes are caused by human error. Improper installation, improper repair, low water conditions, operator error, and poor maintenance can cause boiler and pressure vessel incidents that lead to devastating consequences. At WARE, we want to educate our customers and anyone involved in the operation, maintenance, planning or purchasing of a boiler or boiler related equipment in order to prevent these catastrophes.
With WARE's Boiler University, we pack a week's worth of boiler technical information into a three-day session. These Boiler U classes provide continuing adult education through Western Kentucky University and all participants earn 2.4 continuing education units.
Our next class will be held at Eastern Kentucky University on March 10-12 and will cover:
- Heat transfer
- Boiler design and construction
- Efficiency control
- Boiler codes and feedwater chemistry
Boiler University classes are taught by boiler industry professionals who have direct experience with boiler operation. They are not just professional educators, but professionals who have experience in the field and who will teach you about:
- Safe boiler operation
- Boiler efficiency
- Preparing a boiler for inspection
- Reading electrical prints
- Testing feedwater systems
