WARE is seeking a Business Developer, Boiler University, to lead the growth of this strategic WARE arm dedicated to boiler and steam training and education.

The successful candidate will be a visionary possessing hands-on training and curriculum development experience in the steam industry, with an impressive track record of growing the client base of boiler and steam educational platforms, proven relationship building skills, and strong mechanical and technical aptitude. 

Summary

The Business Developer is a persuasive leader driven to expand Boiler University enrollment by prospecting, developing and cultivating a network of business partners, positioning Boiler University as the go-to resource for all boiler and steam training and educational needs.

The Business Developer will also create and deliver curriculum in a learning environment that exceeds expectations, setting students up for long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Create a forward-thinking, enrollment-driving vision that delivers the revenue goals of Boiler University
  • Serve as the primary catalyst and advocate for Boiler University, spearheading business development efforts, curriculum development, and training needs
  • Prospect, cultivate and continually expand a robust network of decision-makers that will utilize the training programs of Boiler University for their teams
  • Identify and target new prospects, driving enrollment of first-time students
  • Create and execute a strategy to encourage re-enrollment of past or current students into next-level, advanced courses
  • Mine leads and existing customers for referral business

Develop a learning roadmap ensuring curriculum design and training offerings exceed desired student learning outcomes and are first-in-class

Create and maintain instructional standard operating procedures

Measure and evaluate effectiveness of programs, determining impact and providing recommendations for evolution or change

Collaborate with senior leadership and other stakeholders to anticipate needs, benchmarking industry trends and best practices in boiler and steam training and curriculum development

Design and propose innovative solutions to best fit customer’s needs and wants as the industry landscape evolves

Lead a high-performing instructional team that places students first, embodying WARE culture and Boiler University standards of excellence 

Communicate concisely and efficiently, keeping student learning objectives and commitment to student success top of mind at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Five or more years of business-to-business sales and/or enrollment driving experience in a specialized learning institution
  • Expertise in curriculum development and hands-on training in mechanical field with high technical aptitude, preferably in the boiler and steam industry
  • Thorough understanding of adult learning concepts and instructional design methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence, using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a concise and creative way
  • Superb interpersonal, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Highly organized, with superior time-management skills and appreciation for details
  • Ability to lead a team of instructors and trainers
  • Innovative, entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, independent environment

Preferred Qualifications:     

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent  

Five or more years of business-to-business sales and/or enrollment driving experience in a specialized learning institution·        

Expertise in curriculum development and hands-on training in mechanical field with high technical aptitude, preferably in the boiler and steam industry·        

Thorough understanding of adult learning concepts and instructional design methodologies·        

Excellent communication skills and ability to influence, using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a concise and creative way·        

Superb interpersonal, coaching and mentoring skills·        

Highly organized, with superior time-management skills and appreciation for details·
