Initiated in 1972 by David Thompson, this event has grown into the largest and longest running steamboat gathering, featuring a diverse array of restored steamboats and innovative new creations. Also take a look at the unique 28 foot Carry Gene steamboat from California, built circa 1900. Learn about its steeple steam engine, originally too large for a boat but innovatively modified for marine use
