Water Cooled Machine Gun Explained

Today Brent shows us how the water cooled machine gun and steam have more in common than you would think. These guns were capable of very high rates of fire which would heat up the barrels and damage them.

In order to prevent the barrels from melting, engineers created water jackets that would wrap around the gun. Much like how tubes in boilers heat water, these barrels would heat the water to the point of boiling!
