Origin of the Purdue Boilermakers Name - Steam Culture

Everyone loves a good football game, but do you know the origin of your favorite mascot?

On today's steam culture, we are discussing the origin of the Purdue University's mascot, the boilermaker. Back in 1887, before the household name like Drew Brees was popular, the Purdue football team was terrible!
