Today on the Boiling Point, Ritchie talks with Mike Taylor about boiler vessel expansion and leg connections.

As the boiler heats up the vessel will expand. To relieve pressure during expansion, the leg connections are bolted on rather than welded, as the bolts allow for movement as the boiler expands.
