How Styrofoam Cups Are Made! - Steam Culture

Last week, we announced Brent would begin investigating what products are made with steam. Today, we discuss polystyrene cups and how they relate to Steam which we all know and love. These cups keep your cool beverages cold and your hot beverages hot.

Polystyrene are little beads, about the size of sugar crystals. When the crystals are heated by the power of Steam, they expand to 40 times their original size.
