What is Carryover and the Factors That Cause It - Boiling Point
Today on the Boiling Point, Ritchie talks with Steven Taylor about a problem called Carryover. The feedwater in a steam boiler is more than just water! Microscopic minerals in the water can cause all kinds of different problems such as foaming. This foaming can lead to carryover sending this feedwater right into your steam header leading to water hammer.
